Cannes 2014 Rankings May 27, 2014

Here’s a list of films covered by this site in the order of their CRU Rating. It’s surprising to see how low the Palme d’Or winner, Winter Sleep, is, since it was considered a major favorite to win throughout the festival. On this site, it doesn’t even rank among the top half of the best-received films from this year’s Competition.

As usual, this year’s edition of the festival has given us many world premieres for us to look forward to in the months and years ahead. I would recommend even keeping track of low-scoring movies like Saint Laurent and The Homesman, both of which I suspect will improve in reputation if they continue on the festival circuit.
