Consensus Comparison: Jenkins, Rosi, Kurosawa, Park October 22, 2016

I’m surprised to see such a high number of reviews for The Handmaiden gathered on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s not far behind Moonlight. I suppose the reason is because Park Chan-wook has directed a handful of hits, most notably Oldboy. It didn’t occur to me that Park was still such a beloved auteur to many film lovers.

This is a terrific week for new releases. I’m not planning to watch all of the movies below, but I wouldn’t drag my heels at the thought of seeing any of them, either.
