Consensus Comparison: Mad Max: Fury Road May 16, 2015

Cannes is now in full swing. Throughout the festival, I’m going to try to make throughout the day, even into the early evening if time allows.

I mistakenly believed In the Name of My Daughter was released last week. It turns out it was instead released yesterday, so it’s included below.

Your Film of the Week is the new Mad Max. Aside from The World’s End, this is the only summer blockbuster to be given this designation. It’s scoring astronomically high right now for any kind of new film, let alone a mainstream action movie. At the moment, it’s #1 on the wide release rankings and is #4 (out of 110 movies) on the general 2015 rankings.
